About

I completed my PhD at the University of Auckland, Sustainability Engineering Programme in 2010. My broad research area is system innovation for sustainability; i.e. transformation of socio-technical systems to achieve sustainability. I am particularly interested in how micro-level changes in the socio-technical systems can be aligned with meso and macro-level changes. To find answers under this research topic, I'm tapping into a range of domains covering sustainability science, complex (adaptive) systems theory, organisational change for sustainability, sustainable entrepreneurship, self-organising innovation networks, futures studies, and tools/methods available to help companies and innovation teams. Currently I am employed as a lecturer at the Department of Product Design in Auckland University of Technology, teaching about sustainable design, innovation for sustainability, activating creativity, design futures and etc.
